Amsterdam, Holland is a beautiful and colorful city in many ways. It is famous for it's canals, bike paths, the Anne Frank house (founded in 1957), Madame Tussauds' wax museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Rembrandt Museum, the numerous tulip gardens and many other fun things to see and do. Amsterdam is easily toured on bikes which can be rented all over the city. Many direct and connecting flights arrive into Amsterdam's Schipol Airport on a daily basis. It is an easy airport to get around in and very easy to navigate getting into the city from there. A good time of the year to go is April -October, although like most of Europe, peak season is mid-May until mid-September. There are some wonderful river cruises available departing from Amsterdam and now is the time to start booking for spring 2008 and beyond. Why not email for some dates/prices/details. And oh, one last thing, don't forget to leave without having a Heineken somewhere along your journey! A special thanks to D. & J. Recker for the use of their photo!
